Headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana, Safeway Express was founded in 1999 by Edward “Eddie” Sighn with a simple but ambitious vision: build a transportation company known for safety, reliability, hard work, and treating customers the right way. What began with one truck and one determined owner-operator has grown into a successful transportation operation with a fleet of more than 120 trucks. From its Indianapolis home, Safeway Express has continued to grow while remaining committed to the principles Eddie established from the beginning—putting safety first, keeping promises to customers, investing in professional drivers, and never losing sight of the people behind every shipment.

Over more than 25 years in the transportation industry, Safeway Express has grown from a single-truck operation into an established carrier with the equipment, people, and experience necessary to serve the evolving transportation needs of its customers.
